The video consists of a series of modules that describe how to care for people with dementia. The introductory module provides general information on dementia. The remaining modules use enactments to portray situations that caregivers may encounter when caring for a person with dementia. They show caregivers how to respond to similar situations in order to stay safe and support the person with dementia.

In the video, It’s okay to walk away. When all the right stuff doesn’t work, workers are shown using a sling that is not compatible with the total body floor lift being used. This is contrary to the sling manufacturer’s instructions. Section 4.1(1)(b) of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation states that “each tool, machine and piece of equipment in the workplace is selected, used and operated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.” We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
